La Kitan was born from a dream we had been carrying for years: to create something together as mother and daughter.

We both have a background in fashion, through our studies and professional careers. Over the years, countless ideas for starting a brand together came and went. Somehow, it was never quite the right idea or the right time. Until we discovered Kitan.

We immediately saw its potential and knew we had found something special. What started with one idea quickly turned into another, and then another. Before we knew it, we had created an entire collection.

IT STARTED WITH MARRA

Fun fact: the very first idea was actually the MARRA Bag, a stylish solution for carrying a water bottle on warm summer days.

Because if you know us, you know we love having every detail of an outfit come together. Walking around with a water bottle in our hand? Not exactly our idea of style. So we thought: why not create a bag that makes carrying one look good?

MARRA was just the beginning. As we developed the design, more ideas followed, eventually becoming our first collection of 11 bags.

TWO GENERATIONS, ONE VISION

As a mother and daughter, we complement each other naturally. One of us brings a background in fashion production and entrepreneurship, while the other brings experience in fashion, branding and communications.

We bring different strengths to La Kitan, but share the same eye for detail, love for fashion and connection to Morocco. Today, we are incredibly proud to bring La Kitan to life: a dream we have built together, one that feels truly ours.
